MacRaes to America is a reference work, designed to bridge the gap between the historical records of the Clan MacRae in Scotland and the living members of the Clan MacRae in North America, primarily in the United States. As in all genealogical research, a person starts with himself or herself and documents life events such as birth, marriage and death to prove back to the next generation. For Americans, the numerous misspellings of the surname MacRae in our records made this an almost impossible task. I researched and identified 68 different spelling variants of the surname in the US Federal census, and organized these records by state, then by first name, and then placed them in chronological order. As the first Historian of the Clan MacRae for North America, I had worked closely with MacRaes who had attended Highland Games and have published this work in hopes that it will help them find their way home to Scotland. Executive Disorder is a combination of a biography, a constitutional law primer, and an expose´ of the forces that have altered the US Supreme Court and the Constitution. The book traces the career of James Clark McReynolds, US Attorney General and later US Supreme Court Justice, who was a staunch defender of the US Constitution and became a target of FDR for his refusal to cave in to political pressure to endorse FDR's abuse of executive power. Events of that time echo loudly in the present day. Author: Ann McReynolds Bush, Editor: Cornelia Bush.
