I specialize in research, analysis and reporting for persons of English and Scottish ancestry, including both American and British repositories. I provide assisted research services in the United States and Great Britain, including tours combining genealogy and cultural site visits. My clients include both individuals and organizations. I travel for Clients as required, in both the US and Europe. Through my trademark AMERICAN PEERAGE ®, I offer assistance in obtaining legitimate Coats of Arms for Americans of British ancestry and consultations on matters pertaining to heraldry and derbhfines.

Miss Bush has been a Verifying Genealogist for more than a decade, and prepares lineage society applications for both men's and women's organizations.

SCOTTISH ARMS:

Miss Bush is the Designated Genealogist of the Society of Scottish Armigers.

LECTURES:

Miss Bush is available for lectures and workshops (full or half day).

Assisted genealogical research combined with cultural visits, and staying in castles and stately homes, for groups of 10 or more to Scotland, Northern Ireland and/or England. Assisted genealogical research combined with cultural visits, for groups of 10 or more, staying in historic hotels, inns and bed and breakfasts, in the states which comprise the former American Colonies. You may book either individually or on behalf of your group.

Archives and Library research, including NY, MA, MD, NC, SC, NARA, DAR and digitized collections of NEHGS, NYGBS, Footnote, NSDAR. Colonial American published and digitized collections for original 13 colonies.

RESEARCH IN SCOTTISH RECORDS:

Old Parish Registers, Statutory Registers, Wills, Retours of Service of Heirs, Scots Peerage, King James' Irish Army, Jacobites of the Battle of Culloden, Archives. Also available for in-person research in Scotland. Guided group tours to repositories.

RESEARCH IN ENGLISH RECORDS:

Parish Registers, Archives, Society of Genealogists, Complete Peerage, Visitations of the Heralds, early wills and records in Latin. Also available for in-person research in England. Guided group tours to repositories.
