Since 1993, Cornelia has been active in genealogical and historical research. 

Her focus is on Colonial America, England, Scotland and Medieval Europe. 

She has served at the local, state and national levels of hereditary and patriotic societies ("lineage societies") and currently serves on the Claims Committee, Colonial Dames of America.
